Dear Mr. Donald Trump,
I respectfully request that you consider making the following statement to the American people:
While it is true that the United States Postal Service has been losing money for years, I did nothing to address this situation until I realized that holding the funding of the USPS hostage, could suppress the voting rights of many Americans, and provide my campaign with a political advantage.
In addition, my decision to suppress the votes of the American citizens from being counted, by removing Post Office Boxes in their neighborhoods, and intentionally removing 671 mail-sorting machines without notice, for the sole purpose of slowing down the delivery of the US Mail, is not the actions an American citizen should expect from their President.
I have been insensitive to the fact that the COVID-19 Virus makes it more dangerous for people to vote in person in 2020, and I should have aggressively explored and supported options which would make it easier, and safer for the American people to exercise their Constitutional right to vote. I have failed to even follow the CDC’s recommendations regarding Social Distancing.
We live in America, not Russia, and I apologize to every American for giving them the impression that I did not realize that. I also realize that my history of turning a blind eye to Russia’s attacks on America may have helped propel this impression.
Some of my die-hard supporters have tried to defend my actions, and many of their defenses would be considered laughable if they were not so ignorant. Here are a few examples:
- Rep. Jim Jordan tweeted that “If people can protest in person, they can vote in person.” This defense suggests that EVERY American protested, and as a result, EVERY American should vote in person. Considering the allegations that Jim Jordan refused to report sexual assaults at Ohio State University, maybe Jim Jordan also believes that “If all Sexual Assaults are not reported, none of them should be”.
- Former Governor Mike Huckabee suggested that since it is hard to find a Pay Phone, we should accept the fact that it will be harder to find a Post Office Box. What Mr. Huckabee ignores is the fact that people transitioned to cell phones BEFORE most pay phone were removed. Has there been such a transition, which now makes Post Office Boxes obsolete? Maybe Mr. Huckabee is suggesting that we be allowed to vote with our cell phones. Mr. Huckabee might also want to consider the fact that it is harder to find a person guilty of Voter Fraud than it is to find a pay phone.
I apologize for many of the actions and statements made by my supporters. I do not agree with Ted Nugent when he says “If you see a Democrat, shoot a Democrat”, and I do not agree with Alex Jones when he said “There should be a Civil War against Liberals”. How would we fight such a war? This war could require Parents and Children fighting each other, Neighbors fighting each other, Husbands and Wives fighting each other. Alex Jones needs to rethink this.
I must also apologize that my actions have caused delays to the deliveries of Prescription medicines, Social Security and Veterans checks, and other important mail that American citizens depend on receiving in a timely manner.
Summary: Americans have a right to expect the President Of The United States to support the Constitutional right of the American people to vote, and not disenfranchise this right. The President of the United States should also provide the American people with a way to Vote that is both safe and easy, not difficult and dangerous.
I NEED TO KEEP REMINDING MYSELF THAT WE LIVE IN AMERICA, NOT RUSSIA
A viewer of this Blog Post reminded me that I forgot to add this to Trump’s proposed statement. The statement should end with:
“Therefore, I fully realize I’m completely unfit to be President, so don’t vote for me.”
