States whose Legislators approve the National States whose Legislators approve the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, agree to commit all of their Electoral Delegate votes to the winner of the National Popular Vote., agree to award all of their Electoral Delegate votes to the winner of the National Popular Vote.
2. Currently, if you are a Republican living in a heavy Blue State or a Democrat living in a heavy Red State, your vote has little to no value or effect on the election. States who approve the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact guarantee that every vote in their State has value and counts towards determining the winner of the Presidential election.
3. Fifteen 15 States and the District of Columbia have approved the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, and have enacted it into law. These 15 States plus DC total 196 Electoral Votes. Once enough States who enact the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact into law reaches 270 Electoral Votes, all Presidential Elections winners will be determined by the National Popular Vote.
